How to improve the low grinding efficiency of quartz sand ball mill

The grinding efficiency of quartz sand ball mill is low, which will prolong the production cycle and increase energy consumption costs. Here are some improvement techniques to share.

Firstly, optimize the grading of steel balls, and reasonably match steel balls of different diameters according to the particle size of quartz sand feed to ensure that both coarse and fine particles can be fully ground and improve the grinding fineness.

Secondly, adjust the grinding concentration to control the slurry concentration within a reasonable range. If the concentration is too high, it will reduce the impact force of the steel ball, while if the concentration is too low, it will reduce the effective contact between the steel ball and the ore.

Then regularly check the wear of the lining plate and replace the excessively worn lining plate in a timely manner to avoid the failure of the lining plate causing the steel ball to slide and reduce the grinding efficiency.

Finally, control the feed particle size to ensure that it is uniform and meets the equipment requirements, avoiding excessive large ore blocks and increasing the grinding pressure of the mill.

Proper matching of steel balls and daily maintenance can effectively improve the grinding efficiency of ball mills and reduce production energy consumption.
