Incomplete iron removal by magnetic separators can lead to excessive iron
content in quartz sand products, reducing product purity. These techniques can
effectively improve the situation.
Firstly, adjust the speed of the magnetic roller. If the speed is too fast,
the iron impurities will not be adsorbed in time and will be discharged with the
quartz sand. If the speed is too slow, it will reduce the magnetic separation
efficiency. Adjust the speed reasonably according to the impurity content.
Secondly, adjust the thickness of the material layer. If the material layer
is too thick, the iron impurities in the lower layer cannot fully contact the
magnetic roller and cannot be effectively adsorbed. Control the thickness of the
material layer within an appropriate range to ensure that the impurities can be
fully exposed.
Then regularly clean the surface of the magnetic roller, promptly remove
adsorbed iron impurities, avoid impurity accumulation affecting the magnetic
adsorption effect, and ensure that the magnetic force of the magnetic roller can
be fully exerted.
Finally, check the magnetic system of the equipment. If the magnetic force
attenuates, promptly magnetize or replace the magnetic block to ensure
sufficient magnetic force of the magnetic separator and effectively adsorb iron
impurities in the quartz sand.
Proper parameter adjustment and regular maintenance can effectively improve
the iron removal efficiency of the magnetic separator and ensure the purity of
quartz sand products.
