Shanlu Heavy Industry reduces the Fe ₂ O ∝ content of sheet sand to below 150ppm

The artificial quartz stone board has high requirements for the whiteness, particle shape, and gradation stability of quartz sand. Shanlu Heavy Industry provides specialized production line equipment for sheet sand, including crushing and shaping, grading and screening, scrubbing, magnetic separation, and dehydration. It is suitable for the production of sheet sand with specifications such as 40-70 mesh and 70-140 mesh, meeting the requirements of the sheet industry for sand whiteness ≥ 85 degrees and Fe ₂ O3 content ≤ 150ppm.

Taking the typical wet processing process route of board sand as an example: the raw ore is roughly crushed and sent to the ZSW high-purity horizontal sand making machine for medium and fine crushing shaping. The equipment adopts a horizontal hammer breaking structure, with the discharge particle size controlled within the range of 0.5-3mm, and the proportion of finished sand needle shaped particles is low. The crushed material is transported by a belt conveyor to the YBF square swing screen for precise grading. The screening machine designed by Shanlu Heavy Industry adopts flat rotary motion, with a screening efficiency of over 95%, and can separate multiple specifications of products such as 40-70 mesh and 70-140 mesh at once. The coarse particles on the sieve are returned to the sand making machine for further crushing, while the fine powder on the sieve is collected separately.

The surface of graded sand often adheres to iron films and mud pollutants, directly affecting the whiteness of the board. Shanlu Heavy Industry is equipped with CX scrubbing machines in the production line for strong scrubbing. The device consists of a scrubbing tank and a high-speed impeller group, which uses high-intensity stirring to make the sand particles rub against each other and remove surface attachments. The scrubbing concentration is controlled at 65% -70%, and the scrubbing time can be adjusted from 8-15 minutes. After scrubbing, the surface cleanliness of the sand particles is significantly improved, creating favorable conditions for subsequent magnetic separation of iron.

The cleaned slurry enters the PBC permanent magnet wet plate magnetic separator for iron removal. The device adopts a flat magnetic separation structure with a magnetic field strength of 6000Gs. When the slurry flows through the surface of the flat plate, magnetic particles are adsorbed to the magnetic field zone, and non-magnetic sand is discharged with the water flow. After flat plate magnetic separation, the content of Fe ₂ O Ⅲ in the sand material can be controlled below 150ppm, meeting the requirements of first-class board sand. For ore sources with high iron content, Shanlu Heavy Industry can add an LHC vertical ring high gradient magnetic separator for secondary scanning after flat plate magnetic separation, further reducing the Fe ₂ O3 content to below 80ppm.

The refined sand after magnetic separation needs to be dehydrated to a moisture content of less than 12% before it can be dried or directly packaged. Shanlu Heavy Industry uses DTS vibrating dewatering screen for pre dewatering, with a double-layer polyurethane screen surface and a vibration frequency of 24Hz. After dewatering, the moisture content of the sand material can be reduced to below 18%. The screened slurry enters the BTC ceramic filter for final dehydration. After filtration, the moisture content of the filter cake can be controlled within 10%, and the clear filtrate can be directly reused for front-end scrubbing or magnetic separation processes.

In terms of tailings treatment on the production line, Shanlu Heavy Industry is equipped with a dry discharge system consisting of NM thickener and BK high-pressure diaphragm plate frame filter press. The thickener increases the concentration of the tailings slurry from 5% -8% to 45% -50%, and the bottom flow is sent to the filter press for pressing until the moisture content is below 12% to form a dry cake, which is convenient for storage or external transportation. The combined reuse of overflow water and filter filtrate can achieve a water recycling rate of over 90% in the production line.
