Periodic abnormal noise from the reducer during the operation of the
scrubbing machine is a potential equipment hazard encountered by many customers.
The sound gradually changes from a slight "clang" sound to a piercing metal
friction sound. If not dealt with in a timely manner, the gear or bearing of the
reducer will be damaged, and the entire cleaning machine will be forced to stop.
The replacement of the reducer may take one or two days, or three or five days,
directly affecting the operation of the production line.

Gear wear or poor meshing is the most common source of abnormal noise. The
reducer of the scrubbing machine works in a high load and dusty environment for
a long time, causing the gear teeth to gradually wear out and the backlash to
increase. During operation, there is an impact between the gears, resulting in
periodic "clanging" sounds. Open the observation hole of the gearbox during
inspection, rotate the input shaft by hand, and feel whether the gear mesh is
smooth and whether there are obvious wear marks or pitting on the tooth surface.
If the tooth surface is severely worn, the gear pair needs to be replaced, not
just a single gear, otherwise the new and old gears will have poor meshing and
abnormal noise will soon reappear.
Bearing damage can also cause abnormal noise. After the bearings of the
gearbox run out of oil or are subjected to long-term overload, the ball bearings
wear and the cage deforms, resulting in sharp friction or dull impact sounds
during operation. If the temperature in a certain area is significantly higher
than in other parts when touching the gearbox housing with your hand, it is
likely that the bearing in that area has been damaged. It is recommended to
check the oil level and quality of the gearbox every 500 working hours. If the
oil turns black or contains iron filings, it should be replaced immediately.
When changing the oil, pay attention to draining the old oil and cleaning the
sediment at the bottom of the oil tank.
Poor lubrication will accelerate the wear of all components. When the
lubricating oil of the reducer is insufficient or the oil deteriorates, the
gears and bearings are in a dry or semi dry friction state, and the wear rate
increases exponentially. Check if the oil level is near the centerline of the
window and if the oil is emulsified or contains impurities. If oil
emulsification is found, it indicates that there may be leakage in the cooling
water circuit, and it is necessary to check whether the cooling coil of the
reducer is damaged.
During daily inspections, pay attention to the sound of the gearbox running.
If any abnormal noise is found, stop the machine in time for troubleshooting. Do
not wait until the gears are toothed or the bearings are stuck before dealing
with it. Encountering problems during equipment operation, welcome to contact
