out too quickly?
The CX scrubbing machine is used in quartz sand production lines to remove
iron films and clay on the surface of sand particles, and the impeller is the
core vulnerable part of the equipment. Many customers have provided feedback
that the service life of the impeller is less than three months, or even
shorter. Frequent replacement not only increases the cost of spare parts, but
also affects the operation rate of the production line. The reason for this is
mostly related to improper selection of impeller material or unreasonable
control of scrubbing concentration.
The common impeller materials on the market include wear-resistant rubber
coating and polyurethane. Wear resistant rubber has a relatively low price, but
its impact resistance and wear resistance are average. When processing high
hardness slurry containing quartz particles, it wears out quickly. Polyurethane
material has higher hardness and better wear resistance, and its service life is
usually 2-3 times that of rubber impellers. It is recommended to prioritize the
use of polyurethane coated impellers. The scrubbing concentration is also an
important factor affecting the lifespan of the impeller. When the concentration
is too high, the viscosity of the slurry increases, the resistance increases,
and the impeller load increases; If the concentration is too low, the friction
between sand particles will be insufficient, and the scrubbing effect will be
compromised. Experience has shown that it is appropriate to control the
scrubbing concentration between 60% -70%, which can ensure the scrubbing effect
without excessively accelerating impeller wear. In addition, it is necessary to
regularly check whether the impeller bolts are loose and whether the clearance
between the impeller and the groove is normal. If the output of the scrubbing
machine does not meet the design specifications for a long time, or the mud
content of the sand material is still high after scrubbing, it is recommended to
re evaluate whether the scrubbing time, feed particle size, and scrubbing
