The automatic weighing feeder is a key equipment for accurately controlling
the feeding amount in quartz sand production lines, and the fluctuation of
feeding directly affects the stability of subsequent grinding and grading
processes. The three most frequently reported problems by customers are the
fluctuating feeding amount, belt deviation, and frequent material jamming at the
silo mouth.
The fluctuation of material discharge is usually related to the material flow
state at the outlet of the silo. Quartz sand particles are prone to form
"bridging" or "rat holes" when squeezed in the warehouse, causing intermittent
collapse of the material and drastic fluctuations in the feeding amount. To
solve this problem, an air cannon or vibration activation cone can be installed
at the bottom of the silo to destroy the stacking arch structure of the material
and maintain continuous flow. If the moisture content of the material is high,
anti sticking lining plates or hot air devices need to be installed on the
warehouse walls to reduce moisture.
The problem of deviation and decreased measurement accuracy of belt scales is
also common. The frequent deviation of the belt is due to the uneven
installation of the idler or the uneven tension of the belt. It is necessary to
regularly check the levelness of the idler bracket and the tension of the belt.
The accuracy of the weighing sensor is affected by the stability of the sensor
itself and the installation position. It is recommended to use a hanging code to
verify once a month to ensure that the measurement error is within ± 1%. If the
zero drift of the sensor is frequent, it is necessary to check whether the
environmental vibration and temperature changes exceed the allowable range.
Material jamming at the discharge port is often the result of missing or
malfunctioning cleaning devices. Installing an elastic scraper plate at the
discharge port and regularly checking the wear of the scraper can effectively
