The electromagnetic suspension iron remover is used in quartz sand production
lines to remove iron filings from materials above the belt. However, when the
power is turned off to unload iron, the iron filings remain and adhere to the
magnetic poles, which is a common problem. The thicker the iron filings
accumulate, the magnetic force is shielded, and the iron absorption effect
decreases accordingly.

Oil stains on the surface of the magnetic pole are the primary cause. There
is a lot of dust on the quartz sand processing site. If there is a lubricating
oil leak near the equipment, the oil stains will adhere to the surface of the
magnetic poles, and the iron filings will be stuck by the oil film. After power
failure, they cannot fall off on their own. The solution is to regularly wipe
the surface of the magnetic pole with diesel or cleaning agent to keep it clean.
It is recommended to check once a week and promptly clean up any oil stains
found.
The malfunction of the iron unloading vibrator can also result in residual
iron filings. The electromagnetic iron remover relies on a vibrator to shake off
the iron filings at the moment of power failure. When the vibrator is damaged or
the amplitude is insufficient, the iron filings remain on the magnetic poles.
Check if the vibrator motor is operating normally and if the amplitude meets the
requirements. If the vibrator is normal but the iron filings still do not fall
off, it may be due to pits or wear on the surface of the magnetic pole. The iron
filings are stuck in the pits and need to be polished flat or the magnetic pole
needs to be replaced.
When the moisture content of the material is too high, iron filings and dust
will bond together, and the difficulty of unloading iron will also increase. The
moisture content of the material should be controlled below 1%, and if
necessary, a drying device should be installed before the iron remover. During
daily inspections, observe the iron unloading situation once per shift, and
promptly handle any residue found to avoid affecting the iron removal
effect.
